Hunger Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to ease hunger
and starvation by directly providing foodstuffs and packaged food products. Key topics include the funding, organization and delivery of direct hunger relief.
Orphan and Orphanage Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to care for homeless and neglected orphans in less developed and developing
countries. Key topics include the organization, funding and operations of orphanages, orphan care and adoption issues, and global orphan security issues.
AIDS Relief Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to care for AIDS patients in less developed and developing countries. Key
topics include the organization, funding and operation of AIDS relief centers and ministries, AIDS care issues, and AIDS prevention and impact in the developing world.
War and Human Rights Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to care for victims of war and human rights abuses. Key topics include refugee
and homelessness, trauma, and emergency medicine ministry issues.
Medical Care Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to
provide medical care to the poor in less developed and developing countries. Key topics include the organization, funding, and operation of medical ministries, personnel issues involving volunteer medical professionals,
and the management of emergency and non-emergency medical services.
Distribution Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to
distribute supplies to the poor in less developed and developing countries. Key topics include the organization, funding and operation of distribution ministries, logistics, partnerships with local groups, and handling
issues involving distribution.
Education Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to provide education by creating and
operating schools in less developed and developing areas. Key topics include the organization, funding and operation of education ministries, as well as administration, staffing, and operation of local schools.
Agriculture and Sustainable Development Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to provide training and supplies for agriculture and sustainable
development. Key topics include the organization, funding, and operation of agriculture and development ministries, progressive farming techniques, seed distribution, conservation, and economic development issues.
Disaster Relief Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to provide emergency supplies and assistance to areas that have experienced
natural or man-made disasters. Key topics include the organization, development and funding of disaster relief ministries, logistics, staffing, volunteer coordination, supply chains and related issues in disaster relief.
Business and Entrepreneurship Ministry 3 Credits
This course examines the operations of ministries that exist to encourage business and entrepreneurship among the poor. Key topics
include the organization, funding and operation of business and entrepreneurship ministries, global entrepreneurship opportunities and tactics, and global business development issues.
Volunteer Internship I 3 Credits
Required volunteer service with a ministry involved in a relevant global relief activity. Includes structured practical projects with
academic assessment procedures.
Volunteer Internship II 3 Credits
