Online Master of Liberal Arts at Ames Christian University
MLA Program Structure
MLA Courses Designed for serious graduate students, the Master of Liberal Arts (MLA) program is built on "The Great Ideas" of our time and of history. A 12 course, 36 credit hour program,
the MLA is a rigorous exploration of four general subject categories: humanities, arts, social sciences, and science and culture.MLA courses
deal with issues from an interdisciplinary perspective, presenting ideas that are both biblically sound and culturally relevant. As with all "Great Ideas" courses, the MLA curriculum leads a learner with an open mind to a deeper understanding of God and His ordered universe.
MLA learners are highly motivated and mature and bring a variety of professional skills, life experiences, and educational backgrounds to their courses. It offers learners the opportunity to interact, to inquire, and
to invigorate their souls as well as their intelligence. Admission The MLA is open to learners who have completed a bachelor's degree in any subject or discipline area. A spirit of inquiry is the most
important asset an MLA learner can bring to the program. To be considered for the MLA, please complete the online admissions application, forward transcripts of all previous college or university work, and submit a
personal essay as described in the online application section. |
